FOUR THE LOCAL - Mar. 7 Edition
Did you get the memo?
Yes. Yes, you did!
You're now in the 'know'. Consider the FOUR THE LOCAL a mid-week memo intended to give you a quick glimpse of some of the things I'm loving that you too might enjoy - from my local favorites to new discoveries - be it people, places, or things. Basically, anything that puts a party in my heart this week!
My intention is to spread a little fun, curiosity, and love for all that is local and let's be honest, in some cases, random finds - from links I'm loving to things, people, or places bringing me joy.
Enjoy these weekly musings! I hope they inspire you to dig a little deeper and explore the City of Angels and its people.
FOUR THE LOCAL - Mar. 7, 2018
Copa Vida (Coffee) - PASADENA - Cute little coffee shop nestled in Pasadena with yummy pastries and breakfast dishes. It's a remote-worker friendly coffee shop that allows for a quick work session (wifi available) as much as a coffee catch-up with a friend.
Quilt (Community) - LOS ANGELES - I recently joined as a founding member of the Quilt community and love the concept of women across LA opening up their homes to a small group of women to connect, build knowledge, ask questions, and share ideas. A connecter and social butterfly, I love the community of women I get to meet through these intimate meet-ups. I highly recommend, whether you're an introvert or an extrovert. I also like how they offer morning 'coffee + chat' sessions or evening ones to accommodate different work schedules. Currently, they're hosting a Darling Series of events covering different themes for the month. Check 'em out!
Big Magic (Books) - ANYWHERE - Really enjoying this read by Elizabeth Gilbert. It reminds me that we all have a purpose and a gift we need to discover and share with the world. It's teaching me to own my creativity, whichever way, shape, or form it takes. It's not always easy and clear how to pursue your creativity, but it's your journey and yours to explore! If you're looking for a copy, don't forget to check your local library first to see if they have one on their shelf.
Bar Stella (Eat/Drinks) - SILVERLAKE - Tucked away under the "Sunset Junction" sign off Sunset Blvd. in Silverlake sits Bar Stella. You'd walk right past it if you didn't know that through the unassuming tiny entrance covered in bougainvillea is a small bar decked out in art deco and tropical accents serving up yummy cocktails. There's something so relaxing and laidback about sipping the afternoon away over cocktails with friends. To think I had walked passed this place a million times only to pop my head in and feel like I'd discovered a secret garden of libations.
