FOUR THE LOCAL - Mar. 28 Edition
Did you get the memo?
Yes. Yes, you did!
You're now in the 'know'. Consider the FOUR THE LOCAL a mid-week memo intended to give you a quick glimpse of some of the things I'm loving that you too might enjoy - from my local favorites to new discoveries - be it people, places, or things. Basically, anything that puts a party in my heart this week!
My intention is to spread a little fun, curiosity, and love for all that is local and let's be honest, in some cases, random finds - from links I'm loving to things, people, or places bringing me joy.
Enjoy these weekly musings! I hope they inspire you to dig a little deeper and explore the City of Angels and its people.
FOUR THE LOCAL - Mar. 28, 2018
In The Loop: Self-care + Wellness (Event) - LOS ANGELES - Join us on April 8 for an intimate gathering of local lovelies to discuss tips and tools for how to better manage self-care and wellness. You're now #intheloop!.
TIP - Use code: LOCALPERKS @ checkout for early bird special ($30/ticket)
Maker City LA (Explore) - DTLA - As a freelancer I'm always looking for co-working spots that aren't coffee shops. I'm sure you can understand that there's only so many lattes I can order before I feel I've overstayed my welcome or find myself desperately scanning the room for power outlets to juice my laptop battery. That's where Maker City LA comes in! I came across promotion of their workspace for creatives, non-profits, and professionals this past week. Might be worth exploring for those of you in the creative or entertainment space.
Erin McKenna's Bakery (Eat/Drink) - LARCHMONT VILLAGE - I've been up in San Francisco visiting my family this past week and as lovely as it's been, I've had these LA vegan (dairy free + gluten free) donuts on my mind! Not only are they delicious, but I've totally convinced myself that these are 'healthy' - Ha! Bottom line, if you haven't tried her coffee crumble, chocolate dipped donut, or her mini brownie muffin, well...you're missing out!
The Social Type (Shop) - SILVERLAKE - If you're looking to get fancy with your penmanship, The Social Type is offering not one but TWO calligraphy workshops with Emily J. Snyder on April 14. Tickets are for purchase ($150). However, aside from the occasional workshops/events hosted at the shop, I more so enjoy simply popping in to browse their fun stationary and cards! I always walk out with a little something and desperate to post a lovely card in the mail.
