FOUR THE LOCAL - Apr. 11 Edition
Did you get the memo?
Yes. Yes, you did!
You're now in the 'know'. Consider the FOUR THE LOCAL a mid-week memo intended to give you a quick glimpse of some of the things I'm loving that you too might enjoy - from my local favorites to new discoveries - be it people, places, or things. Basically, anything that puts a party in my heart this week!
My intention is to spread a little fun, curiosity, and love for all that is local and let's be honest, in some cases, random finds - from links I'm loving to things, people, or places bringing me joy.
Enjoy these weekly musings! I hope they inspire you to dig a little deeper and explore the City of Angels and its people.
FOUR THE LOCAL - Apr. 11, 2018
What's Gaby Cooking (Eat/Drink) - LOS ANGELES - If you're not following Gaby, you're missing out. Love this woman's Instagram, her cooking, and personality. Even better? She's a Saint Mary's College Alumni and hails from my alma matter. #GoGaels! She also recently published her first cook book "What's Gaby Cooking" - Everyday California Food. Can't wait to get my hands on it!
Beachwood Cafe (Eat/Drink) - HOLLYWOOD - I'll admit, I am hesitant to share this place because it's tucked in a residential part of Hollywood and was DELISH! It's a simple but cute cafe and I've never had better breakfast potatoes than when I ate lunch here. I ordered the pulled pork with no bun with a side of roasted potatoes - best decision ever. And if you want a little leg work after or before you grab food, try the Beachwood Drive hidden stairs (just up the street from the cafe). Honestly, you wouldn't even know you were in the middle of Hollywood.
Joe & The Juice (Eat/Drink) - BEVERLY HILLS - Finally made it into this juice spot. Although a little pricey, the smoothie I ordered was good. Also, they make coffee drinks , so it makes for a great meeting spot between the drink options and seating available. Free WiFi also on-hand which helps (yay!).
